The Canals Construction Department in Berlin is in the process of realising a new ships hoist on the Havel-Oder Canal about 50 km north-east of Berlin to help navigate a 36 m geographical height increase.
The canal bridge with a length of 65m was hold by a 23m long structural system and had to withstand a load of 2700t.
An access for visitors to the construction through a series of bridges and gantries is planned. These walkways run at 49,95 m above ground level inside the construction directly above the main basin, here three bridges connect the two walkways.
ZRS engineer services was loading calculation for the assembly process of the bridge, construction and dimensioning of the bearing structure, foundation calculation for the structure.
Later on, workshop and assembly planning visitor gantry/bridge and canal bridge connection.
