TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY | EDEKA FUTURE MARKET NAUEN

The topping-out ceremony for the EDEKA Future Market in Nauen was celebrated on 23rd January. A large part of the timber shell construction has already been completed and should be finished by the end of February – with a supporting structure of columns and timber trusses made of beech as well as exterior walls in timber frame construction with wood fibre insulation and a wooden facade. The wide-span wooden hollow box elements of the roof rest on the trusses. The roof areas facing west are covered with photovoltaic elements, while those facing east are designed as a green roof. Completion is planned for September.
