STUDY: THE GREEN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY 2023 – SUSTAINABILITY, ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CLIMATE NEUTRALITY
The study “The Green Construction Industry” by BauinfoConsult outlines the contours of a transformation of the construction industry. It shows the results based on a broad database from current multi-topic surveys by BauInfoConsult and USP Marketing Consultancy on the assessments and experience reports of German planners and fabricators on topics such as sustainability, recycling in construction as well as specific construction solutions and products.
28 experts were interviewed about their professional perspectives on the topic. One of them is Niklas Heinen, ZRS Architekten. He argues in favour of stopping the blanket demolition and instead for the preservation of buildings and building materials for which CO₂ has already been emitted. He demonstrates his argument using the example of the Administration Building Tierpark Berlin.
