Start of construction | Fire Station Karlshorst

We are pleased to announce the start of construction work at the Karlshorst fire station! As part of the energy-efficient refurbishment of the listed building, the dismantling and removal of contaminated building materials are nearly complete. Among other things, the lights and the newer ceiling elements, which are free of contamination, are being stored and will be reused after the installation of the new earth plastered internal insulation and technical building services. After the deconstruction of the partition walls in the former climbing tower, the ceiling additions are now being implemented in order to extend the sanitary areas. Meanwhile, ZRS Ingenieure is preparing a timber preservation report for the roof structure, which has partially been found to be in a state of decay.
