Publication: Baumeister 01|2025 „Weniger“
The January issue of Baumeister magazine is titled “Weniger” (“less”), which is not only a life motto but has long been the guiding principle of an industry balancing between sustainability, cost constraints, and the remnants of neoliberal prosperity promises, as stated in the editorial of the magazine. Nevertheless, the editorial team aims to demonstrate with this issue how more can be achieved with fewer resources.
One of the featured projects is our “Holz Ziegel Lehm | Pilot Project for Sustainable Housing Berlin”, for which we are working together with Bruno Fioretti Marquez and Stadt und Land Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft. In the article, Eike Roswag-Klinge, Piero Bruno, and Elisabeth Endres explain how research and planning collaborate and intertwine in the project to realize two buildings that are as resource-, space-, and energy-efficient as possible — while still achieving a higher level of design and functional quality.
