On Site 01 | Holz Ziegel Lehm – Pilot Project Sustainable Housing Berlin

The first milestones in the construction of the Holz Ziegel Lehm pilot project, which we are carrying out together with Bruno Fioretti Marquez, have been reached: while the prefabrication of the wall and ceiling elements of the timber building at Max Holzbau factory is almost finished, the first floor of the brick building, including the floor slab, is already standing on the site. The monolithic exterior walls are made of thermally insulated bricks with perlite filling, the ceiling above the first floor is constructed as a suspended brick ceiling and then covered with concrete. The first staircase elements have also already been delivered. On the other half of the site, where the timber building will stand later, construction work is starting – the reinforcement of the floor slab is currently being constructed here. The first timber construction elements will be delivered to the site in mid-September.
