New embassy building in Tbilisi/Georgia becomes a rammed earth building
The new building of the German Embassy in Tbilisi/Georgia is constructed as a rammed earth building. Concerns about the execution of this type of construction could be dispelled above all by an expert report from ZRS Ingenieure GmbH in 2016. The project was finally approved by the federal government at the beginning of 2019. In terms of planning, the detail and execution design, which has been suspended since 2016, is now being resumed and execution is expected to begin in 2020. ZRS engineers accompany the entire planning and construction process of the rammed earth components as technical advisors and experts in earth construction.
