KICK-OFF AND FIRST WORKSHOP: EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROJECT GREENEST
As part of the EU research project ‘GreeNest’ (NEST InGrained ecosystem foR zEro EmissioN buildings), 20 European partners, including ZRS Architekten Ingenieure, are developing innovative solutions for the realisation of zero-emission buildings such as building materials and planning tools to innovative building envelope and technology systems. The kick-off meeting took place in January, followed by the first workshop in Berlin in March, which ZRS organised together with the Natural Building Lab (NBL) at TU Berlin. In the research project, ZRS is responsible for the development of wall elements made from reclaimed wood, which are being tested in a demonstrator building in Berlin. The demonstrator building is being realised together with Howoge Wohnungsbaugesellschaft, the NBL and the timber construction company Terhalle.
