Hieronymus Lotter Prize for the Rehabilitation of a Ruinous Earthen Building

This year, the popular Leipzig prize for the Conservation of Historical Monuments went to the rehabilitation of a small, ruinous earthen Building in cob technique in the south of Leipzig. The planning by the architect Sebastian Schneider, Leipzig, and ZRS Ingenieure, Berlin, was lovingly implemented by the company Lovis Lehmbau. The building is part of the cafeteria area of the Freie Waldorfschule Leipzig and is particularly popular with students and staff because of the good indoor climate.
