26th September 2024 | Engineering seminar on load-bearing earth block masonry acc. to DIN 18940
There is a new normative basis, DIN 18940, for the construction, dimensioning and execution of load-bearing clay masonry. The introduction of the dimensioning standard is an important step towards the broader application of climate and resource-friendly construction methods. In the future, a large proportion of energy-intensive masonry building materials in building classes 1 to 4 could be replaced by clay masonry. As part of the one-day seminar aimed at structural engineers, leading German experts will share practical know-how on the standardised building materials clay bricks and clay masonry mortar as well as on the construction, dimensioning and execution of clay masonry.
