3 pm | Lecture by Jan Schreiber: “Rethinking Ressources”

The “20. Norddeutsche Holzbautage” (“20th North German Timber Construction Days”) will take place in Wismar on April 24 and 25. The event is organized by Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Landesbeirat Holz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Chambers of Architects and Engineers MV, and their cooperation partners. In addition to the conference, there will be an accompanying exhibition held in the university premises.

In his lecture “Rethinking Resources”, Jan Schreiber will present several projects, including Holz Ziegel Lehm | Pilot Project Sustainable Housing Berlin, Woof & Skelle: Building Ensemble for Social Housing & Kindergarten, and Kokoni One | Timber Construction Quarter at the Orchard.

At 12:00 pm, Sina Jansen from the Natural Building Lab at TU Berlin will give a lecture on “Living Labs for Designing and Building within Planetary Boundaries.”

The event is aimed at engineers, architects, planners, employees of the timber industry, public construction administration staff, construction companies, and students. Participation in the conference is recognized with continuing education credits by the Chamber of Architects MV and the Chamber of Engineers MV.
