20th February 2025 | Engineering seminar on load-bearing earth block masonry acc. to DIN 18940
There is a new normative basis, DIN 18940, for the construction, dimensioning and execution of load-bearing earth block masonry. The introduction of the dimensioning standard is an important step towards the broader application of climate and resource-friendly construction methods.
In the future, a large proportion of energy-intensive masonry building materials in building classes 1 to 4 could be replaced by earth block masonry. As part of the one-day seminar aimed at structural engineers, leading German experts will share practical know-how on the standardised building materials earth blocks and earth mortar for masonry work as well as on the construction, dimensioning and execution of earth block masonry.
