Expertise “Planning and Building with Wood in Brandenburg” published.

ZRS Architekten Ingenieure stands not only for the planning and construction of timber construction projects, but also for research and knowledge transfer. Only in this way can the building turnaround be made sustainable, cycle-compatible and fit for the future. We are therefore very pleased about the publication of the expertise “Planning and Building with Wood in Brandenburg”, which we prepared on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg (MIL) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy and the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation.

The expertise is aimed at the general public. On the one hand, it provides an overview of Brandenburg’s forests, the timber and forestry industry and the timber reserves. On the other hand, the potentials but also possible challenges in timber construction are considered and the currently valid legal basis in the building code is presented. The book concludes with selected examples of timber buildings in Brandenburg. We would especially like to thank all partners and participating offices for their valuable support.
