HolzbauAtlas Berlin-Brandenburg | Launch 12.11.2020
The Holzbauatlas Berlin-Brandenburg (German for ‘Atlas of Timber Constructions’) is the first digital platform for innovative constructions projects in timber in the region Berlin-Brandenburg. It was initiated by a group of students within a seminar at the Natural Building Lab at the TU Berlin in 2019 and collects around 60 projects in Berlin and the surrounding Brandenburg.
The atlas aims to contribute to the discussion about how to lower the construction sectors high environmental impact and show practical examples and strategies on how to use timber in urban settings and in a larger scale. Natural building materials, digital fabrication tools and assuming a regional perspective on resources are all ways towards climate neutrality, something the city of Berlin is aiming for in 2050.
We are pleased to have many of our project be part of the atlas and that it is now live! On Thursday the 12.11.2020 the Atlas will be shown in an official Launch and you are all invited to join. Find the Link to the digital event here and have a look around the atlas here.
