ARTIS WORKSHOP AWARDED IN THE FIRST BERLIN TIMBER CONSTRUCTION PRIZE

As timber buildings are becoming more and more important in the development of the city, the administration of Berlin has recognised that these buildings are not only sustainable and ecological but also innovative in their construction methods. To support the construction and development of timber buildings, the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing in Berlin has instated its very own Timber Construction Prize. The competition was open to architects, engineers, firms that plan and develop system for timber constructions as well as institutions and universities researching the topic.

58 projects were submitted and we are happy to announce that the Artis Workshop building was awarded an Honourable Mention in the category New Constructions!

All projects are exhibitioned at the Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen until the 31.12.2019.
