The viewing platform in the Black Forest offers a scenic view of Ellbachsee and the Baiersbronn-Mitteltal valley. It blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings without affecting the existing trees. The platform is barrier-free and branches off from a forest hiking trail. Where the view opens up wide and unobstructed, it rises above the Ellbach Valley.

The platform is made of Douglas fir wood to ensure long-term resistance to the elements. The flooring with railing was prefabricated in one-meter-wide sections and laid on the timber framework without screws. A 3D model was created for the joinery to allow all wooden elements to be precisely cut using CNC technology. Pre-assembled components from the workshop were quickly erected and bolted together on-site on the previously prepared foundations.
