Reconstruction of Roman rammed earth buildings. The Romans brought the rammed earth construction technique, typical of Marocco, to the Lower Rhine. The reconstruction of two-storey tradesmen houses was undertaken on the basis of the structural theory recorded by Vitruvius; the fi rst record of this kind that has been handed down.
